Brentnalls Western Victoria is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. Based in Hamilton and working with businesses and families throughout Western Victoria and beyond, we are a well-established accounting and advisory firm with strong client relationships, a collaborative team and an increasing focus on helping our clients look forward, not simply report on what's already happened.

The opportunity
As a Senior Accountant, you'll work directly with our clients across a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, family groups and individuals.
Your role will include:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance work
- Managing your own portfolio and building strong relationships with clients
- Identifying tax planning and business improvement opportunities
- Working with clients on more than compliance as we continue to grow our advisory services
- Supporting and mentoring developing accountants
- Working closely with our Directors on more complex matters
- Contributing ideas to how we work and how we continue to improve the client experience
We want our Senior Accountants talking to clients, understanding their businesses and becoming trusted members of their advisory team.
Who we're looking for
You'll ideally have:
- Strong experience in Australian public practice accounting
- CA or CPA qualification
- Solid Australian taxation and business services knowledge
- Experience working with companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Confidence communicating directly with clients
- Experience with Xero and contemporary accounting technology
- Good judgement, initiative and attention to detail

Remuneration
We expect the successful candidate to be in the range of $90,000– $110,000 + superannuation, depending on experience, capability and the level of responsibility you're ready to take on.
